Hey Friends! I am SO excited you are here. This project that is now in your hands has been a true labor of love. Getting this completed has weighed on my heart for nearly two years and it took finding the right people to help, hundreds of hours, and learning some new skills for me to get this into your hands.

More than two years ago, I had the inspiration and urge to create a format where people could learn incredibly high quality piano lessons from anywhere in the world, and at a price people could afford. I had seen such a struggle with finding quality piano education and even if it was available, an ability to afford it everywhere I had lived. This inspiration came as I was traveling home from my grandma’s funeral. She spent nearly 10 years of her life serving missions with my grandpa throughout South America. Through that service, she became acutely aware of the need and desire so many had to play the hymns. She was inspired to orchestrate the creation of a simplified hymn course that would enable people to learn the hymns in weeks. You can read that amazing story in the "History" tab.

My grandma blessed me with the legacy of music. She was one of my biggest fans :) and her love and support meant the world to me. This hymn curriculum is my tribute to my grandma for the legacy she left me. It is my offering to the world of something I know can bring incredible joy, fulfillment, confidence and purpose to individuals and to audiences who participate in the fruits of learning to play the hymns.

Course Outline

This hymn curriculum is broken up into 8 lessons that you can spend as little or as much time individually to help you as you learn to play the piano.

One of the most exciting and incredible things about this program are the recorded videos I have completed that will take you through each step of this process. Imagine having a very highly-qualified coach (me :)) with you in your own home at your own convenience, walking you through every step of your journey with you. That is what these videos will do. You can watch, re-watch, review, practice with, and use them to teach others.

The first four lessons are Keyboard Basics. You will learn the basics of playing the piano – from good position to what a sharp or flat is, to quality practice techniques for learning ANY song – no matter how simple or hard. You will learn basic technique and some enjoyable songs that will give you a foundation to keep exploring your music journey with a solid start.

The last four lessons encompass the Simplified Hymn Course. They will help you discover how to play simplified hymns. You will learn basic technique in keys that will enable your hymn learning to be more efficient and effective, and you will learn how to play and practice hymns. Again, I want to provide you with a foundation that will enable you to continue to practice and achieve great music-making and hymn-playing skills.
